There is much information on the main rose widows at Chartres in "The Rose Window". However, as this web site evolves further information will be added as and when it become available: there is much work being done at the moment on the geometric analysis of the windows.

In the meantime here are some further pictures of some of the rosettes that run right round the whole building. The three 'Logos' roses - with Christ as The Creator are particularly interesting:-

The illustration on page 194 in "The Rose WIndow" is of the rosette in the north east corner of the north transept - no. 1 in the diagram. A similar window is at 2 (illustrated no 8 of the original "Rose Windows") and shown here. Yet another is at 3 round the corner in the choir.
