Wimpole, St Andrew

A fine display of C14 heraldic glass in the N Chapel, set into three lights and traceries of a N window. The fourteen shields include the arms of England, France, the Prince of Wales and the Ufford, Engaine, Bohum, Tiptoft, Bassingbourne and Avenell families. Also here is the figure, possibly of William of Ufford, pictured as a Compostello pilgrim with staff and cockle shell.
